has anybody else noticed a pattern that is here among us outcasts?

there seems to be, on average, a higher level of intelligence here than there is at the kingdom hall.

actually, intelligent conversation seems to be looked down upon among the witnesses.. also, the simple language skills found here seem to be above average compared to those among the witnesses.

I am a person with only high school education with several learning disability. The only reading material in our house when growing up was Wt. and Awake. Any extra insight into the world came only from the TV. Finally leaving at the age of 56 I was free to seek other forms of reading material. I read and I read learning many things I did not know. I was able to take a year of education and volunteer work to become a Penn State Master Gardener. This and finding a group of people who became my friends who all went to and taught in college as a career further my appreciation for learning as well my self esteem increased.

I will never go to college but I have learned I will never stop learning for the rest of my life. The importance of good friends is crucial. Unlike the Borg my new friends have shown interest in me for who I am not because they are required to. Are we more intelligent than others who are still trapped in the cult? No but we are free to express our minds, free to live our lives as we want, free to learn what we are interested in, not what some old City boy wants us to learn and most important we are able to find our authentic personality. Cult's are made to keep people ignorant and that ignorance makes people look less intelligent. This is about as smart as I can get. Lol Still Totally ADD

me: well, they were saying that it will expand and eventually burn out.. jw: but it can't do that, it just keeps blowing up inside and getting more power.. me: well, they were talking about stars in general, how they have a life span.. jw: but god didn't make it that way, it's firmly established to time indefinite.

i live in the sierra nevada foothills of california; a selling point for prospective homeowners in the slightly lower elevation is what is touted in the subject title.

well, right now we are being blasted by a storm barreling down from canada, with hazardous driving and blizzard conditions in the offing, higher up.. as to fog, this photo offers a rare display of misty conditions over our lake, that after the last major rain storm.

it reminds me of summer days of my youth on the pacific coast..

Here in Western NY the first part of this week was mild with temp. In the 40's and 50's last evening after heavy rain all day the temp. dropping it started snowing. Very heavy wet snow with high winds. I don't know how much we have but I am guessing around 6 inches. For a area that is accustom to snow this has kind of gotten every one off guard. Oh well another test to see if my back surgery I had back in September is working.l💪 Lol. CC your picture is beautiful. Take care. Still Totally ADD

Everything stumbles the Borg. Just before my wife and I left a married couple should not hold hand during a prayer. Because it might stumbles some new comer who may think we are thinking about having sex. Tight pants, holding hands, women wearing pants, tight clothing, pillows and on and on. when i was a young man growing up in the religion, i would try to defend whatever the understanding of a doctrine was.

i won a lot of arguments based on the idea that i knew better than anyone i was talking to and defended myself admirably.

(lol)....eventually, i realized i was in a cult but for many years i was a believer and i had faith that the gb knew more that i could understand..

sparky1. You must be very intelligent to have read those two books between the ages of 5-7. I honestly was trap in the the box of the jw cult since birth I never thought much about the reasonableness of the theology of the wt. But as a child I often wonder how they knew all about the Bible and other religions didn't. I can see now it was all blind trust. But that thinking of them against us was very im bedded in me.
